Catharsis
I saw
just now
sunlight glistening
on the leaves of a tree
and
wondered at the beauty
of
peace and serenity
the Catharsis
of
Life that
came
to me from the sun
and
made my heart
yet
again sing!

Once I saw, during an eclipse, a million tiny eclipses reflected through the leaves of the willow tree in our front yard. I wanted so much for it to mean something, but I’ve never been able to decide what. But your poem brought that magic moment back to me. Thank you!
