    • ROFL…I didn’t intend being moralistic about TV…it has two syllables whereas video games has three…”passive entertainment” was impossible! I wrote a choka for the silly lamp-post on the poet’s corner 😉

  1. TV is addictive, but it does seem to be losing its appeal with me. Even the shows that I like are becoming background noise. I wonder if people simply grow out of it eventually if they find something else to spend their time on.

    • Your conclusion is probably very close to the answer. In a world where people depend passively on being entertained and take no responsability in creating or actively participating in passing their time, i think, tv, video games etc become very addictive indeed.
