Rondeau: Nightmare

I walked on a nightmare’s pathway,
After I’d been hasseled all day,
And went into a land of war,
With endless ships lining the shore!
I felt I had to get away.

In a city with skies of grey,
Miss Muffet ate her curds and whey.
No spider though just a street whore,
I walked on.

Miss Muffet sat in disarray,
“For sex I never ever pay!”
I started looking for a door
Found an entrance to a drug store
And so made good my get away…
I walked on.

  1. Almost perfect! I should have made it clearer in my instructions that the last line of the second and third stanzas are supposed to be shorter than the rest. Otherwise, it looks great! I love how whimsical it is. Would you like to make any changes to it before I add it to the challenge post?
