Just a Note: October 31, 2013

Hello world!

the galleryJust a note to tell you that I’m doing fine!

Yesterday we took down the exhibition, brought home the art compositions and did a cursory clean-up of the gallery.  Today we finish the clean-up and then we can officially call the exhibition closed!

Luciano, rightly so, was very pleased with the success of the exhibition.  We had quite a few visitors from all walks of life who were fascinated with his original way of doing art.  The exhibition was such a success that the group which owns the gallery asked us to stay a few extra days, in fact the exhibition was to close on the 17th.  His next exhibition will be on May 2, 2014 in Rovereto, a larger city steeped in Art!  Home of Fortunato DePero and Fausto Melotti ( a sculptor born in Rovereto dedicated to Modern Art and who was one of its promoters in Italy)  two well-known artists.  But that’s a bit in the future and I’ll come back to it at a later date.

This past week I’ve been able to keep my blogs running, however I’m afraid that quality has taken a toll.  I’ve not been able to really follow those challenges in Photography that I love so well, have not been able to keep up with the prompts I usually do and of course reading people’s blogs has become ever more difficult.  Still all considered, I’m happy to say, I’m still blogging and was able to do something every day!

Unfortunately this post is very late this morning.  I didn’t get to bed before 1:00, and I really have to move on if I want to do my Photo of the Day on Through the Eye of Bastet…something I cooked up last week and a poem for OctPoWriMo plus a little housecleaning and whatever!

What I really want to say though is thanks!  Thanks to all of you who have continued to follow and who’ve commented over the week.  Your encouragement and support keep me going, you’re a really wonderful group of people.

Until next week…keep blogging and have a good one!

Ciao Georgia aka Bastet!

  1. I didn’t think quality suffered. That blitz poem, for example, was brilliant. I’m glad the exhibition went well, and it seems no matter how busy you get, you somehow manage to find some time to blog, which is so wonderful for all of us. 🙂

    • Thanks Cubby… I did so enjoy the Blitz peom and was so surprised by the popularity is susitated, as I swear I just ran it off with very little editing at all. Maybe that’s what I meant, I haven’t had time to really work on the photos or writing etc. Thanks for your enthusiatic support! 😉
