Sunday Walk in Poetry

Chadian Nights

Lying under Chadian skies,
When stifling summer season comes,
Delightful shines the Southern Cross,
Through gossamer mosquito net.

Hear the muezzin’s call to prayer,
Lying under Chadian skies,
Rhythmic notes of the balafon,
Will lull you into peaceful sleep.

Sweet to wake up as moon beams fall,
Majestic on velvet silence,
Lying under Chadian skies.
There, a cricket begins to sing!

Spiritual African night!
Teaches your soul to remember
Gaia and ancient Eden too,
Lying under Chadian skies.

in shadows light - walking under weeping pines - spring rain
