Butterflies

fluttering through our time
flying in our closed garden
imagining life
our “eternal adventure”
all warmth and flowers
thinking existence
is all about our passing
we give so much worth
to our fantastic sundreams
imposing our ideas
mighty universal truths
based on sweet nothings
of a passing day
battling ideal “enemies”
as though they are real
wasting our short existence
as the summer turns to death
