Carpe Diem haiku Kai: The King .
This is part three of Adrian von Ziegler’s four-part musical short story:
Haiku
I
the thane of spring
smiles and plays with his rain clouds
farmers plant their seeds
II
summer king looks over
open fields of grain and corn
children play – maids dance
III
the lord of autumn
matures red grapes for sweet wine
pick the fruit on time
IV
the old king slumbers
his smile gentle wan and worn
we light the yule log
I suspect these may be closer to Senryu than Haiku…your feedback on this would be welcome.
Have a great day!

can’t comment on senryu vs haiku, but I know what I like, and I truly enjoyed your seasonal set….well-done!
