Haiku – Personal Demons

children’s passtimes
screaming shouting joyous
summer games

children playing
laughing as they kick their ball
man walks by

power struggles
inside the man’s breast
he teases children

a desert demon
lies within his adult soul
envying innocence

    • Well, the haiku are based on a man grabbing the kid’s ball and not giving it back causing one of the kids to threaten him with a stone. He has a vision of a desert, which his guru tells him is a vision of his demon. But they can be interpreted in many ways not days.
