Sensations – Free Verse
whispering wind
talks to me
as it brings
sweet smells and sounds of spring:
rose bushes and orange blossoms
fresh-cut grass …
birds singing their love songs
children running wild, laughing,
a baby’s whimpering
warm sun, playing on my face and,
there, another caressing breeze
filled with soft warmth
that speaks to my soul
inviting my words …
“come, join the chorus
of life being born,
of life moving on.”
whispering wind
bringing succor
along with the smells
accompanied by the sounds
of early spring
