Trifecta Week 114: FunPoem – Trifecta

You may not know, but Trifecta is closing down.  Alas…sad but true.  Next week will be the very last post.  I’m sure we’ll all miss this great weekly prompt.

Trifecta – Fun Poem

I wonder how I’ll satisfy
my weekly Triecta fix
the precision in my decisions
of words to use just so
exactly 33
or no more than 333

The perfect number
Three … no more

This week’s challenge:

SATISFY (transitive verb)

3a : to make happy : please
b : to gratify to the full : appease

• Your response must be exactly 33 words.
• You must use the 3rd definition of the given word in your post.
• The word itself needs to be included in your response.
• You may not use a variation of the word; it needs to be exactly as stated above.
• Only one entry per writer.
• If your post doesn’t meet our requirements, please leave your link in the comments section, not in the linkz.
• Trifecta is open to everyone. Please join us.

  1. oh wow, are they closing down? did they say why? It’s a long time to keep a prompt going I guess. they have certainly become a staple part of the vocabulary on WordPress

    • They left a note last week…as you say, it’s a long time they’ve been up, they wrote that they felt that they’d rather go out now rather than get stale.

  2. Fabulous! I think we all feel this way. That being said, there’s nothing stopping you from limiting yourself, on occasion, to 33 words. You know, for nostalgia’s sake. 🙂

    • Glad you liked it…a fun write! As for your suggestion…nothing to keep me from trying a 33 word prompt for my story prompts 😉 … but, it’s not quite the same, sigh.

    • Thanks Janna. I changed the category and title of the poem to fun poem in the meantime. I called them silly poems last year for a better word…but fun, as suggested by Trifecta is better 😀

  3. Ah shoot and I was so late in catching on to this…only remembered when I read your blog. Well, then perhaps you could add it as an OPTION for Wordless Wednesday…a photo or 33 word verse or story.
