Four Seasons
autumn winds blowing
young swimmers take last dives
swallows flown south
walking on the beach
cold mist in the horizon
gulls screech over head
new green and flowers
placid mornings and evenings
ducks play mating games
summer moonlit night
walking by lapping water
nightingales warble

My ears and eyes are drawn to these haiku. I love the eye-pleasing pattern of “swallows flown south,” not to mention the ear candy of the “long-o” assonance here. A beautiful foursome here!
