Bad Omens

Matthew wasn’t exactly superstitious but he did believe in omens.

The day that he was to be wed is a case in point.

That morning, his alarm clock didn’t go off so he got up an hour late. Then the boiler went on the blink in the middle of his shower. Finally after getting through his ablutions and dressing, he had breakfast and went to pull the car out of the garage – a flat tire!

He changed the tire feeling anxious.

When he found himself in a sea of sheep he knew it was not to be, and returned home.

    • I know…there were only 100 words…I’m sure there’s more to the story than just this…as Rochelle has suggested, perhaps she too had a bad morning, or more than likely…his best man came and got him 😉 Georgia.

  1. Dear Georgia,

Fine for him, but I can’t help thinking about his bride abandoned at the alter. Perhaps she had a similar experience. 😉

As Chuck Barris once sang “Sometimes it just don’t pay to get up.”

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

    • Dear Rochelle,

with 100 words the tale will never be told, but I’m sure everything came out well…maybe his best man came and helped him get over his jitters! But the song seems to have rounded the story up well…thanks for reading.

      Ciao, Georgia.
