Life Cycle – Diamante (Piramide) – June 13, 2014

Birth
First steps
In the labyrinth
That is our lifetime
Until we reach
The end
Death

Gone
His way
Looking sad
Lost in his thoughts
Not seeing
His way
Back

Pooky’s Poetry Prompt # 43 is dedicated to the piramide form, which I’d learnt as the diamante … The first poem is in ‘words’ : 1-2-3-4-3-2-1 and the second in ‘syllables’ : 1-2-3-4-3-2-1 of course they could have gone up further than just 4 lines before turning back … but I’m in a micropoetry mood 😉

  1. I loved the idea of life as a Labyrinth…
Also the notion of progressive cycles…
You have reached so many images with few words.
    Nice one, Bastet.

    Best wishes, Aquileana 😀

  2. I love your poem, the shape suits the words so perfectly. I really messed up with the prompt I clearly got muddled, but I love what you did with it!
