Carpe Diem Haiku Kai

and the night streams in
from east to west, traveling
in time with the moon

Today’s special is to write a haiku in the “same tone, sense and spirit” but it is also the second day of the vision quest, so we must look for and express the inner spiritual meaning we receive from the haiku as well:

and as the moon sets
the train rumbles eastward
seeking the dawn
