August heat
shimmering on the wall –
shadow dancer
sensual
swaying on a silver screen
a hot winter’s eve
sensuality
envisioned long ago
her body veiled
his camera caresses her
on a hot day in August

I love this work, and evokes the eroticism of the vintage French postcard.

Very nice. I wouldn’t have thought to use haiku and tanka but it is perfect for this.

tanka can be very sensuous … and seems that it was one of the genre women most often wrote it.

Thanks … I wasn’t going to do the prompt and then I remembered Kristjaan had written a haiku for the photo so decided to give it a whirl as tanka/haiku.
