Morning Haiku and Waka – Stars – December 26, 2014

tiny stars
fall from the sky
snow flakes

stars twinkle
in the early hours of dawn
a hen lays an egg

cold night
seems the stars close in on Earth
chill wind blows

(c) G.s.k. ’14

And here are some inspirational haiku by Jane Reichhold using her modern kigo:

crystals
filling the night window
with stars

glistening cold
the stars bend down
a few flakes

snow taste
the cold fire
of frozen stars

cold stars
dropping into the ocean
snowflakes

(C) Jane Reichhold

And one by our host at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai

bright winter night
ice-flowers like stars grow on the window
sound of ice-skaters

(C) Chèvrefeuille
