A Passing Year – choka – December 31, 2014

A Passing Year (Choka)

the death of another year
what was
what might have been
happy joyous smiles
dark thunderous exchanges
new-born babes
acts of war
moments of peace
new friends made
losing sight of dear loved ones
joys and tragedies
often humdrum boredom

departing year
pasted in a scrapbook
entitled life
sitting in her rocking chair
the old lady remembers

  1. Beautiful Georgia — between the joy and the thunder it’s been a heck of a year!
Glad to have met you though — all the best to you in 2015! Happy New Year – and drive safely wherever you are!

    • Happy to have met you too … and 2015 will prove to be a great year … have a great day … I’m off to breakfast … and thankfully it snowed everywhere but here!

        • No problem by me, and i presume you’re talking about the Tale Weaver prompt (careful… you may get zapped!) I just saw it now haven’t been able to get on line here at home … sigh. And didn’t get home ’til late last night. Hope you had a great time!
