NOW I understand what “worms” had to do with the waka! So sorry to have caused stress first thing in the morning. The last thing anyone needs! Oh dear. 😦 I really am sorry — but in this context it’s kind of funny.
“Of Poetry and Worms” — could be a great title for an anthology. So much going on in this Waka. A busy, noisy morning!

Cool Idea .. we write an Issa type Waka anthology … inviting Olde Foole, Blair, Chris (if he’d try a ku), Cheryl-Lynn … and who else?

Do you mean Blake? I think he’d be up for it. Not sure about Chris but he’d appreciate the invite. Cheryl-Lynn will probably be happy with it. What about Opie Houston? He has an Issa-like feel much of the time. What about Chev, Bjorn & Pirate (they don’t normally have an Issa feel but I’m sure they could do it — but they’re SO busy – so much on their plates). What about Dom D.? Perhaps Rall – she can have quite a quirky feel to her work. Ashiakira does great work too – but my interactions with him have been limited. He had a great haiku about bickering sparrows the other day.

Oh dear .. I think I do mean Blake … Opie would be cool in fact all those mentioned would be cool … but how to organize a thing like this … maybe put up a post and send some e-mail’s out … I do think it could be fun … what about Haiku Kitchen (Cathy Tenzo) do you think she’d reply?

I have to run and try to do some haiku took me awhile to get the prompt done, mostly due to the blasted linky and blue frog … will look at the little creatures with extra attention today!

Thanks … I’ll have a look … ooo … that was beautiful … an old resident of Japan … a real live haiku person … yipes! you know I feel kind of self-conscious thinking that someone who live in Japan can actually read one of my waka or ku … weird no?

I know what you mean. But I think he understands our predicament in that he, too, is working in English — limited tool that it is! Hey, worst that could happen would be his saying “no”. 🙂
