I really enjoyed this logo from Carpe Diem Haiku Kai and thought I’d show it to you all …. truly delightful! The first two paintings one by Paul Cézanne and the second by George Seurat are part of two prompts for this months Carpe Diem Haiku Kai theme dedicated to Impressionism for which I wrote a haiku for each. The tanka is about me.
bathing ladies
enjoying summer warmth
a man and his dog
enjoying the warmth
Paris and spring afternoons
promenading
another year gone
a new calendar begins
and still each year
seems like the one before
only the mirror changes

I love that first haiku…such a classic haiku, that last line and your tanka made me smile…only the mirror changes, so that is the problem, eh? 😉

Happy Birthday, dearest Georgia!
A great post — this made my heart happy. Yes…. we really need to question that mirror from time to time. But such is life. 🙂

I got here a bit late it seems but at least it’s still the right day to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
As for the mirror it’s rather useless really as it only shows the wrong side, the outside doesn’t matter it’s the inside that counts! I’d say you’re much younger than the mirror must tell you 🙂
