This month I’m going to look at a sunset … and all the lovely things one can do with it! Here’s the original:
I’m not going to do much with the photo this week … just intensify the colours a bit and put on a background:
so blue
reflecting my sadness
the sun sets

Oh my – this is a gorgeous image!
Intensifying the colours has really brought out the complimentary colours in this image. It really works and has taken this into an almost graphic quality.
I really do love the soft tones in your original too. Lovely Georgia 😃

It’s already a great photo and was so happy when I saw it. I’m afraid I’ve actually used it over the past weeks … but I decided to laze it along this month … I’ve a month of haiga to make!

An easy month is a good plan. I think next month’s review month will be a nice breather for those who are busy or need a break 😃
If the image works, why not? Its lovely!

Thanks Sue … I agree, it renders the photograph a little more dramatic!

Most certainly! Every now and again we need a bit of drama in our images!

Uh-hum … you’re speaking to a woman who lives in Italy … I shouldn’t have to add drama 😉

VERY nice! It was beautiful to begin with — but — that sapphire/cobalt/peach combo really is a jaw-dropper. Awesome!

It was really .. usually I take oodles of photos as you know, but then maybe you’ve got 5% that you can say … good .. about this batch had so many great shots I was flabbergasted. You’ve probably already seen this one though as I used it in it’s variations several times last month. As I want to work with haiga, I’m posting the various edits I did for this photo.

It seemed like it had familiar elements — wasn’t sure if it was exactly the same photo — but this edit was great. 🙂
Makes for great haiga!

The cool colors of the foreground make me want to put on a coat and grab a warm mug of liquid, the warm sunset in the background tells me there is hope of warmth. 🙂

Thanks Nic for your lovely comment .. it was a rather cool evening … and the warmth didn’t come from the sun but from a cup of tea later on 🙂
