  1. Awesome, awesome, awesome! I’m so glad to see you tried it after all! Brave woman! And so well done. Yes, this definitely has a classical feel in English — obviously can’t appreciate all the nuances of the Italian version but it has a lovely feel to it too.

    • [As she takes a bow] thanks so much … yes I was thinking about it yesterday morning after our chat .. and the world was misty and bright at the same time … so I tried to write the haiku in Italian … not easy … I found that the tanka was better for this than the haiku … and involved hubby, which he seemed to enjoy 😉
