Lotus – Carpe Diem Special – April 9, 2015

The haiku guest poet at Carpe Diem Haiku Special this month is Kala Ramesh and today’s subject is the lotus, the Hindu symbol of enlightenment (this month on CDHK we are writing about the Bhagavad Gita).  Here is Kala Ramesh’s haiku for our inspiration, remember we are to write in the same spirit and tone as the haiku author:

lotus viewing . . .
the flowering

and here are some example of our host’s verse:

at last – Lotuses start blooming
in the old pond

lotus flowers
rising from the depths of the pond
everlasting love

everlasting love
like a river flows onwards
uncertain of its goal

uncertain of its goal
rising from the depths of the pond
lotus flowers

  1. I love your series cara. The two last ones capture well the mood of this prompt but ma chère la première est très profonde et zen. La lumière a l’intérieure de soi. Bravo ma belle! Je te lève mon chapeau 🙂
