Full Circle in brief – April 25, 2015

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

a sunflower bows
in the howling rain storm –
puddles like seas

those tiny beaches
with their small rhythmic waves –
puddles making love

frightened seagulls
screech in the wind-filled rain storm –
lightning and thunder

on the high mountain
a lone red peony grows
nightingale’s lover

I didn’t read the prompt carefully so in the first post I actually wrote 12 haiku … here is how the prompt was supposed to be written … sorry, Bastet

    • Thanks so much Hamish … I was desolate when I found out my error … but I’m happy that it happened, in a way .. glad you enjoyed the last haiku – it was the easiest and my favourite too!

  1. These are all really good. I particularly like the first one as it reflects my world. In my garden the last sunflower of summer hangs it head forlornly as a wild storm sweeps in from the south – the puddles are like seas down here today.
