the full moon smiled
enchanting her lovers

Last night

sitting on the stone shoals jutting into Riva’s harbour we watched the full moon rise … along with a group of young people, in silent awe.

  1. The second part is a one-bun, is that right? I read the post about it at CDHK but wasn’t sure how to tackle it… But you handled it really well, and the opening “last night – sitting on the stone shoals jutting into Riva’s harbour”, is one of those lines I can happily read over and over 🙂

    • Thanks Blake … yes, it’s the one-bun (though I do wish they’d change the name … reminds me of going to the bakery) I’m so happy you enjoyed the opening … rereading it here (I often never re-read my stuff once published) I like it very much myself 🙂

      • Absolute agreement from me on the name change! When I first saw the CDHK post my immediate reaction was “I can’t write about buns, I know nothing about buns, I just eat ’em.”

But your post has converted me to the idea of the form 🙂

        • LOL … I though it was a prompt myself and began to wonder how buns could be a kigo! It is a cool form though I might use my alternative title in future posts 😉
