[gushing fountain]
roaring among the rocks
ah – misty shower
caress of a water fall
refreshing my heated brow

Many years ago, when I lived in Tuscany before the birth of my last son, we stayed in a country house near a small water fall. The most delightful thing was going into the woods to stand under the pounding water after a long hike, it seemed to caress my body with delving fingers, removing the heated fatigue of the hot summer day.
caressing waterfall
kneading my weary limbs
with loving fingers

Here are the first two haiku written for CDHK … one by our Chèvrefeuille for his first prompt the other by Amrit Sinha who entered the first haiku ever for this fantastic blog!
waterfall of colors
leaves whirl through the street –
departing summer
(c) Chèvrefeuille
the stars rain tonight,
angels clap in sheer delight,
waterfall of light

That was dreamily sensual, almost very personal. An intimate haiku that was a delight to read.

One of the most sensual feeling can be had with water … the caressing power of a water fall … the “travolgente” sensation of being overcome by the waves in the sea. And of course in love …
