‘Weeping Willow’ – July 13, 2015

Wind and willow

Wind and willow

wind-swept
dishevelled foliage flying
the weeping willow

the weeping willow
faces the raging wind
storm-tossed

storm-tossed
bending but not breaking
the willow resists

the willow resists
first drops of rain – fall
weeping in the wind

  1. I couldn’t possibly pass up a title with Weeping Willow – and it is refreshing to see and find another lovely piece – so stalwart like the willow, yet easy and flexible – therein lies the secrets – wonderful!

    • Thanks ever so much MJ .. I love the willow trees and the other evening had a beautiful crop of photos of the willows being thrashed about by the wind that came off Lake Garda. Glad you enjoyed the post!

  2. I think the last haiku is especially wonderful – is there a person present? If so, does that person weep? Fall? Resist? Ah the mysteries of haiku! 🙂
