Ah majestic Re
visiting the world each day
you give light and life
to all of your creation
bright, beautiful, big and small

Written for: Carpe Diem #794 Hymn to the Aten (CD Distillation) Where I just distilled the first stanza of the hymn:
+ Splendid you rise in heaven’s lightland,
O living Aten, creator of life!
When you have dawned in eastern lightland,
You fill every land with your beauty.
You are beauteous, great, radiant,
High over every land;
Your rays embrace the lands,
To the limit of all that you made.
Being Re, you reach their limits,
You bend them for the son whom you love;
Though you are far, your rays are on earth,
Though one sees you, your strides are unseen.
Very beautifully composed.

that was a tour de force.
[ I have to confess that I crumpled under the task]

So beautiful, cara…paying tribute to the omnipresence of such radiance…sombre feelings at sunset change to joy knowing my neighbours from the east are blessed.
