what have I eaten – lies and smiles
chocolates from a poisoned box
raven now sing of all the times
you’ve led me down this well-trod path
frozen like a crystal is my heart
as the clock talks monotonously
ticktock – ticktock
the pendulum swings but time has stopped
as here I lie inside my tomb
what have I eaten – lies and smiles
what some people call love

Fantastic Georgia I love how you used the quote as the first line of your poem and continued with it brilliantly. That last line is genius!

This one is like the darkest chocolate. Bitter with a biting aftertaste.
