Vibrant reds and yellows glow
Brighter under rain and snow
But once the snow melts away
All that’s left is slushy grey
My heart beats now just for you
And you say you love me too
Did you say that to LynnGay
Whilst kissing her yesterday?

I’ve chosen the Tanaga style for this poem. The Tanaga is a Filipino style of poetry with four-line stanzas with the syllable count of 7-7-7-7, and a rhyme scheme of AABB. Tanagas traditionally don’t have a title per se. I’ve written this form once before, here.
Lovely Tanaga.. 🙂 Enjoyed it.

Thanks J for mentioning this! I’d not gotten around to reading posts yet .. been working on my English Conversation Lesson dedicated to Virginia Woolf …

I guess I missed the connection to Virginia Woolf. I’m not overly familiar with her…

Oops .. I must not have sent you the wrong link … it’s a colour photo of my Silent Sunday .. (at least I think it was my silent Sunday) …with her quote, A women must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction.

Oh yes! I do love that quote–and I have enough money to get by, and a small apt to myself, so I can happily write!

Ooh, zing! Caught in the act!
Aren’t some fellows just like this? The ones that are don’t tend to get better with time.

Yet another form to learn…how you teach me so much!! I enjoyed this one but your photos…wow!! I think we are seeing the last week of this but who knows lately with warm weather on the horizon but surely not today…cold and wet.

We put this up on B&P a while back, you may have already written on. Glad you enjoyed the post and the photo too … we’ve entered into the rainy part of autumn here … still in the teens but once the sun goes down, they’re the lower teens.

It is pleasant to sleep (sans la pluie which adds to cold dampness) but it is nice. I have been heating for over two weeks most nights now.

Ah yes we put the heating on as well, but it only clicks when we go under 18° C in the house … oddly enough that’s less often than one would think.

Tanaga…I like this style. My first reaction was “busted”…and a LOL. Funny. Thanks for the introduction to this form. 🙂

The last two lines…he is caught being a two timer/misbehaving/cheating and she let him know she knew..hence ‘busted’.:)
