I just discovered that jujubes are a fruit … I was going to put the link to Wikipedia to the word (which I’ve just done), but forgot to … anyway, Franz has a jujube tree in his garden, near the persimmon tree! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jujube – the sweet illusion to me anyway is that the fruit looked like Christmas tree lamps 😉

Seems that they’re not very common in the States … I found that out looking up the Italian name for them in English.

LOL … a stroke of luck … I took that photo the evening before I left Padua and then saw the prompt … they reminded me of lanterns 😉
