forget rain and storms
here’s a moment of sunshine
November morning
the cicada sings
forget that winter has come
just listen
morning sunrise
shadows play in the park
among red leaves
forget dirges and laments
the day has just begun

Way cool! Here we’re having a proper Indian summer as well with the temps in the high teens and bright sunshine. Congrats for your son’s birthday…glad you can chill for two days!

My spine is acting up a lot, so the rest is good. When I’m run down my fibromyalgia flares dramatically…my fault. I love the warm weather. Went to the mall in shoes and no socks!!!

Oh my, I’m so sorry you’ve been in pain … shoes and no socks … that’s a real no-no for me. Take care of yourself dear.

Omph … I misunderstood and thought you were in pain because you’d gotten cold … 😉

No I am in pain for no reason actually…lol…tonight was cold by the way, had a light winter coat on today and socks!! but I am still not complaining for it is brisk but not cold if that is even a word:)

🙂 here it feels like late spring … kind of weird really, the old people are all sitting around commenting that they’ve never lived through a such a warm autumn in all they’re lives! Sorry about the pain though … but alas, I know something about what you’re talking …

Grazie for your empathy, mia cara. I have to say I kept looking at the bare trees and I could swear I could see buds but of course I was wrong…it DID feel like spring.

A beautiful beginning to a day. Loved this bit: “forget dirges and laments/the day has just begun”.

Thank you, Georgia. Everything is well; some days are harder but it’s the balance that makes it go on and everything seems to be in its natural candor. 🙂
How are you doing?

I’m doing well, as you say, there are days that are harder but they’ve levelled off and writing as always helps keep me balanced. Glad you’re going well, my son just got his master’s and I do remember his ups and downs- things could get rather hectic! Bon chance my friend.

Lovely words. I wonder how you’re doing, if there are moments when “waves” come….

I’m getting on pretty well dearest. My youngest son is here with me right now and we’re keeping busy re-arranging the house and throwing out junk .. as well as doing all the bureaucratic mess. The waves still come … but they no longer make me feel like I’ll drown. Thanks for your concern. Big hugs.

I’m glad to hear you’re managing–I know it must be difficult, even with all the busy-work.

Everything is beginning to pan out … but there’s still a lot of stuff to do and sometimes in the silent hours or while walking along the lake etc. sadness creeps up. But for the most part I’m managing. Thanks for your concern, much appreciated.

Don’t know if you’re into movies, but have you ever seen “The Shipping News”? It’s excellent–deals with lots of subjects including grief…gorgeous scenery/cinematography (Newfoundland) and music; wonderful acting by Judi Dench, Kevin Spacey, and everyone, really.
