in the dawn
rain runs down the window panes
blurring autumn leaves
a train whistle blows
ripping through the dawn silence
autumn fog billows
no sunshine in Padua
only dripping foggy skies

Is Padua as lovely as the name? I’m glad you’re doing fairly well–I’ll keep checking on you 🙂

Padua is very nice … and not so very nice. It was built on swampy lowlands .. so there’s lots of mosquitoes in the summer and lots of fog in the autumn/winter/spring … and humid all year ’round 😉 … I’m going home today and will be happy to leave the fog behind me.

Ahh, I’m not keen on humidity at all, nor mosquitoes. Fog is okay if you don’t have to travel in it… Glad you’ll be safely home 🙂

Ugh … I hate humidity or rather it makes me ache … I’ll be using the train, so there should be no major perils …
