reflecting on reflections
inflections of a frame of mind
wind up now this inner clock
ticktock watch the light go down
round a world of reality
(duality, fatality, irrationality … I don’t know)
aglow bright lights refract
attack my senses escape my essence
luminescence sparkles unseen
keen is the machine not I
by and by I keep on collecting, unsuspecting
reflecting on reflections

Photo Challenge #91 December 15, 2015 and B&P’s Shadorma and Beyond – The Circular Poem – December 12, 2015
Georgia! Wow! this is completely amazing…. really circular and such a great response to the photo prompt image!
I love how you literally captured and “closed the circle” – the use of the first line as closing line really works wonders here …. and I think the “reflections” and musings offered throughout this are real gems …. the confusion the questioning the exhaustion … and acceptance of things … feeling overwhelmed but aware that somehow … unsuspectingly collecting … so well versed.
This really is great – thanks for sharing your response to the photo challenge – and what a great post for this week’s B&P Shadorma & Beyond too!
Cheers ~ Pat

The ending lines particularly grabbed me, as I suspect I do a lot of reflecting on my reflections. Excellent.

And I think it’s rather common for people to do a lot of reflections on their reflecting etc. lately .. 😉
