Freezing Thoughts
white winter rose
her frozen heart melting
withers
once warmed by the careless sun
who never understood her

walking down the streets
under red lanterns

a frozen tap
improvised water-falls
in my basement
Taps looming
it’s that drunken old soldier
humming and weaving

Your poetry shines. I admire the combining of prompts. Every time I’ve tried, I mess up on one or more requirements. Ugh! Tip of the hat to you!

Actually, I just try mix them when the theme is more or less common .. it’s easier that way.

No no … that is a child-hood memory. We moved into a new house in the dead of winter, just after Christmas. That year there were really terrible snow-storms I remember the snow piling up to the second floor thanks to the wind. Anyway, when we got to the new house, the pipes were broken and so along with the movers my mum also had to deal with the plumbers.

I can tell you stories about pipes freezing. Not funny at the time, but funny now.
My favorite though is the ducks. I see ducks every season at the creek. One looks like he is wearing a Tux. He is mostly black with just a bit of white by his neck area. 🙂
