Spring Willow – March 23, 2016

Last week I was watching a very interesting video about Chinese ink painting or when applied the Japanese art form Sume-i.  The painter was showing how to paint willow branches.  At a certain point he related a popular Chinese saying that from a willow cutting an entire forest would grow … which fascinated me.
