Awaken now my love let hope into your heart
See, the sun is shining, no longer lament your sort
Feel the warmth of spring, winter’s time is passing
Hear the black-bird sing – forget the howling winds
No longer grope in slumber, for a new dawn is born
Awaken now to life – rejoice my love, rejoice!

Thanks … I’m a bit confused as to what i’m supposed to be writing but I don’t really care … I am glad though you liked the read! 🙂

LOL@ the confusion 😉
if you don’t have a specific theme, it doesn’t matter …. just enjoy the challenge and let it take you where it does 🙂

I like the form…nice dual poem there. I gather that is the point of the form? Beautiful sentiments in the verse…nice beginning to the series. 🙂

I agree and had the same questions. I’ve been looking for a form for a very particular project and this looks perfect. This is a beautiful start to the series. 🙂

You’re welcome 🙂 oh yes, I loved it! I’d love to give it a try too. As I said I have an idea for another series but I couldn’t find a form that would work for it. This might do it with a rhyme scheme.

Yep the form is actually two poems that should be able to be read separately or together … rather interesting actually.

yes, I want to try the form, but it seems not to be one that just writes itself…will take a bit of work. Meanwhile, we are cleaning our basement…poets should really be exempt from that kind of mundane labor. 🙂
