I have to admit that a few weeks into my American trip in early June, I felt a little homesick … going to Champagne Illinois with my sister was just what I needed to feel at home again … there I found a beautiful park with a small artificial lake called Mattis Lake where a group of mallard ducks were splashing and playing … it felt like being back on Lake Garda. Heaven!
