    • They can be found ripening right now in our fields. The jujubes are more a traditional sort of fruit, and are rarely actually found in a store any more whereas the persimmons now have very many new hybrid qualities, some of which are already on the market shelves.

        • Ah … I think maybe I have heard about them … we do have candy stands in the street markets and fairs .. including candy you can buy at weight instead of being packaged. My son has a jujube tree and a persimmon tree in his garden .. that’s why they come to mind for me in autumn.
