Evening Haiku and Waka – April 14, 2015

the laurel
shaking without wind
full of sparrows

swallow chatters
she scolds her mate
off he flies
each piece of grass she chooses
with special care

the dove
flies straight towards the sun
then glides
free-falling to the valley
trying out her spring wings

in the silence
the buzzing of insects
building nests

hues of pink
the sun paints the sky
bidding farewell

even the dusk
doesn’t silence the blackbird
he sings for love
