Life Cycle – Diamante (Piramide) – June 13, 2014

Birth
First steps
In the labyrinth
That is our lifetime
Until we reach
The end
Death

Gone
His way
Looking sad
Lost in his thoughts
Not seeing
His way
Back

Pooky’s Poetry Prompt # 43 is dedicated to the piramide form, which I’d learnt as the diamante … The first poem is in ‘words’ : 1-2-3-4-3-2-1 and the second in ‘syllables’ : 1-2-3-4-3-2-1 of course they could have gone up further than just 4 lines before turning back … but I’m in a micropoetry mood 😉

Playing with Diamond Poem (Diamante)

Diamond Poems

munching, mooching, murmuring
mice, men, moths, marbles
squashing, slurping, slobbering
flipping, flaking
munster

lazing, laughing, losing
cards, CDs, croquet, cricket
trumping, tapping, tossing
fun, fair

Diamante: Sleep

Diamate

Sleep

Sleep
wondrous, adventure
dreaming, refreshing, escaping
sweet, respite, fearful, fretful
worrying, projecting, rejecting
sad, fearful
Insomnia

(according to shadow poetry this is how it should be written, so I did)

Sleep
walk through
strange magic corridors
into sweetly tempting dreams
hold my hand, come
into my kingdom
to meet
Love

(but Bastet perfers to write it like this 😉 )
