Chèvrefeuille writes in CDHK’s The Tanka Shrine: “For this episode I have chosen a Tanka by Ishikawa Takuboku. Takuboku was a contemporary of Shiki and like Shiki, Takuboku died of tuberculosis on the age of 26.”
