For the last edit of this series, I decided to go for black and white with a white shrouding vignette to render the photo a little mysterious …

This week’s editing started out as a ocra tinted sepia monochrome.. but then I decided to boost the result and found – gold.

One Four Challenge – Week One – March 2, 2015

This month I’m going to look at a sunset … and all the lovely things one can do with it!  Here’s the original:

I’m not going to do much with the photo this week … just intensify the colours a bit and put on a background:

One Four Challenge – At The Library – February 16, 2015

This week … I decided to flip the photo and see if it might inspire me a little …

I went monochrome this week … after flipping the photo I did normal adjustments and colour tweaks … toning down that sun that came through the tree fronds … but I still didn’t really like the photo so I decided to go black and white … but didn’t like that either in the end, I chose to tint and came up with this near black and white, adding a little “warmness” to it:

One Four Challenge at the Library – February 13, 2015

Here is my contribution this week … after spending a few hours playing with different apps and filters!

As it turns it has been easier to manipulate the rose (Through the Eye of Bastet)  than this landscape … in the end, I decided to turn it into an impressionistic sort of painting.

Original Photo

For this week’s One Four Challenge hosted by Robyn G. at Captivate Me, I took a snapshot that I’d taken on January 30, and decided to render it monochrome.  I first cropped the photo and then shadowed the photo and added Graduated Tint to the upper portion of the photo to remove the glare from the sun in the trees. I then used a Filtered Black and White too to accent the blues at that point, I went to the tint filter to find a tint not so starkly black and white … I don’t like the Sepia tool on Picasa 3, which is the app I used for this week’s work.
