OctPoWriMo Day 25 – Morning Haiku and Waka – October 25, 2015

through the leaves
the splendour of mid-autumn
no thoughts for winter

even as a finch sings
under the hot autumn sun
winter thoughts banished

glorious autumn
the splendour of gold and red
black and white winter

this October morn
gelid days seem far away
and yet a cold wind
whistles through this valley
speaking of ice and snow

Wind Swept Beach – Haiga Festival – March 27, 2015

hawser haiku

on a windswept beach
lies a broken hawser – lost
a boat drifts freely

(The haiku is not the exact replica of the haiga’s ku – this was in order to create a classical 5-7-5 haiku for Recuerda mi Corezon … which did you prefer?)

Spark – Haiku – February 22, 2015

passionate kisses
sparks reaching life’s foundation
our new love

a spark a flame
when the morning sun raises
a new life forms

what is this spark
a life has begun from love
in the darkest night
