Here, in our modern Gehenna,
The very bowels of hell rage …
Thanks to our Hedonistic morals
Hate spawns and rots our soul
The legacy of inflicting suffering
Has taken us to the precipice
of Ragnarök,
The battle ending all battles
Not even the Gods can win ..
The delicate balance of life undermined,
Our planet slowly disintegrates
Whilst the dirty propheteers strut …
But the shrapnel of their games
Will douse all their worldly gains.
Consuming beyond reason …
Egoism and prejudice consume us
And like so many addicts
We need our daily fix of “news” …
The last syringe filled with venom
Will hold our one word epitaph …
Overdose.

I know what you mean, my wordle was total fantasy and it helped me through my shift.

Yep … exactly … writing happy stuff helps face the more somber aspects in my day.

Our daily fix of news, indeed — and nobody wins — you really CAN overdose! And I liked the merging of “prophet” and “profiteer” — it really works — spreading a vile story and a vile propaganda for profit — so much of what the news seems to be doing these days.
This is wonderful Georgia — I am bowing and sending a really nice batch of Captain Morgan-laced chocolate your way. Don’t indulge till you’re done writing though. 😉

Lol … at this moment … I might be able to use that chocolate to wake my muse up … in a moment of duldrums. Glad you liked the piece, I was a little hesitant to hit that publish button with this one.

I understand the feeling — but you shouldn’t be afraid. I’ve been pushing the envelope a bit lately and it feels liberating. Sooner or later someone’s going to give me the dickens but you know what? I’m the ruler in BIOLI-land — if they get out of hand I can choose not to publish what they write. Let them “unfollow”. No biggie. Internet’s a huge place.
Go ahead and roar, m’dear! 🙂

Wow! Seems a little trite I know. You have described society, focusing on the darkness. Right now, can there be light

Looking at where society as a whole is going lately, I can’t help but see the darkness … of course I usually write about the light and fantasy and fun, but there are moments that my muse gets riotous …

My muse usually is away at some spa when I need her. Don’t think she’s been riotous, but she does rant and bramble.

Ach … these lazy muses … you have to entice them and tempt them to get them to do a little work (lol)
