Yesterday

the heat finally became unbearable, it was impossible to sit at the computer, even in the morning, as it was far too hot, leaving no alternative but to seek the coolness of the lake …

      In Italy, most people don’t have AC in their homes … at best we use fans … so it’s really a boon having that breeze come off the lake, believe me!

        That’s one of the most terrifying aspects of hot dry weather … usually we have a similar problem in Italy (not in our region though, fortunately) as well … not yet though so we’ll keep our fingers crossed.

        I’ve never experienced them first-hand–but I was stunned when my cousin, who lives in Texas, told me they were getting smoke all the way down from Canada. That is Scary!!
