… Reflections
Each summer morning my eyes delight in the vision
Of spiraling swallows in flight, envious of their enthusiasm,
They fly from dawn to eventide, swooping ever ably
Avoiding collisions evoking exclamations of awe …
Every season has it’s emblem, spring the evocative blackbird,
Winter the ebony crows and fall geese emigrating to Africa.
Evergreens in my alpine home excludes total winter desolation
As the poplars and maples eventually fall into lethargy.
To every time a season, it’s said, and each its own time …
Evolving cycles evoke visions of eternity … of karma
Do the elements evolve as well … even as I write?
Is an emerald the result of the evolution from a lesser stone
… I wonder.
thank you for your wonderful tribute poem to the swallows:
