painted leaves
along the white stone walls
departing summer
festive dress
colourful consolation
cold winds blow
under the full moon
where are the autumn colours
– dipped in silver
even as the owl
calls from his favourite tree
lamenting summer –
the leaves have all turned red
soon they’ll rain down in the park
the old lady passing
observes the colourful trees
sparrow on a bench
