Shipwreck – front and back acrostic
Soggy winter, hoary wraith-like wisps,
Hauled my ship into water’s which,
Immobilized me with fear, tried and tried as might I,
Prod at the wretched prow to change its dip,
When the shoals … somehow,
Reared up! Clawing mercilessly at my rudder.
Egad! My ship would have to die!
(Callously, so that I could write this acrostic
Knowingly, I created in my mind, a shipwreck.)

Thanks dear lady for your comment! I’m sure that you will come up with a lovely write, which I ca’t wait to read…hopefully. Still a bit meeting myself coming and going, but hopefully things will calm down now a bit 😉

Ha! What a fun read… especially liked the last two lines. And I admire you for carrying out dual acrostic in your creation. 🙂

I love acrostics and don’t do as many as I’d like, this was such a great prompt! The other one I like a lot is the ABC poem. Thanks for your enthusiastic comment! 😀

🙂 you know, when there’s something that you like, it coes off pretty easy…such it was with the acrostic.

I’m feeling that way about Elfje and Haiku. Haibun eventually comes off well, once I get a toe-hold.
The acrostic, however …. that’ll take more convincing!!! LOL.

Lol…I’m wanting to try the elfje again, and haiku are like my staple food…have done at least one a day for about a year now.
