(Elfje – Silence)
silence
mountains await
the first chatter
of happy singing birds
quiet
(Tanaga)
Pink sky streams around grey clouds
Over the mountains in shrouds
In silence – I hesitate
Early morn – I meditate
(Haiku)
odd sound of silence
no chittering in the wind
summer dawn
Have a great morning and stop by Through the Eye of Bastet for a little morning reflection!
The Tanaga is a type of Filipino poem, consisting of four lines with seven syllables each with the same rhyme at the end of each line — that is to say a 7-7-7-7 Syllabic verse, with an AABB rhyme scheme

Those are more coherent thoughts than I have at dawn. 😉

Remember I’m usually more coherent at dawn than the rest of the day 😉

All three are exquisite! And to see a tanaga is a pleasant surprise!!! The sky streaming around the clouds is quite an image.
My hat is off to you! 😀

Yes, I wanted to try the tanaga again! It’s a lovely form. Basically I’m trying to get into the habit of writing two morning posts – one for the Library one for the Eye. At the Library I want to dip into forms. I’m happy you enjoyed it!

Your morning posts are going to be something to look forward to — wish *I* could be that coherent in the AM!!!
